North East · Design & build

Websites, designed and built.

I make sites for businesses that need to look sharp and take an order. Each one is built around how that business sells — not a theme with the logo swapped. Two of them are already live.

Packages

Named for the job, not a tier. Each one says what you actually get — including sign-in, the checkout, and what happens if someone leaves it.

Compare what’s included

Refit

£750

About 2 weeks

The site you already have, taken apart and built again. Clearer offer, a layout that holds up on a phone, and a performance pass so it doesn’t drag.

Storefront

£1,100

About 3 weeks

A site with a proper ordering page, so the sale happens there. Checkout is built for a phone, and an unfinished order doesn’t just disappear.

Configurator

£1,500

About 3 weeks

A custom build-a-box. Customers choose the meals, the size, and the extras themselves, and a half-finished box isn’t thrown away if they get interrupted.

Flagship

£1,750

About 4 weeks

The full website and the build-a-box together. Accounts sign in once across the site, and an unfinished order is followed up automatically.

Retained

Featured

£3,500

About 6 weeksthen £125 a month for 12 months

Branding, the full site, the build-a-box, and a year of me looking after the live thing — including the checkout recovery and the speed.

Built around how you sell

The package is the shape. What goes on the pages is worked out with you. These are the pieces I build in when the business needs them — and leave out when it doesn’t.

  • Shaped to the business

The package is a starting shape. The pages, the words, and the way someone orders are worked out for this business — how you deliver, what you won’t sell, and what has to happen before anything goes out the door. Nothing is dropped in from a theme.

  • Search, from the start

Page titles, descriptions, a clear structure, and a sitemap, written around your pages rather than filled with stock phrases. Enough that search can read the site. Not a separate marketing contract.

  • A handover you can use

Before it goes live we sit down — in person or on a call — and I show you how orders come in, and how to change a price, a menu line, or a page. You shouldn’t need me for every small edit. On Retained, I’m still there when you do.

  • Mobile optimisation

Laid out for the phone your customers actually use, then checked on one. The builder, the buttons, and checkout are part of that — not a desktop page squeezed down afterwards.

  • Performance

Images sized for the space they sit in, fonts that don’t block the page, and a first load that doesn’t make someone wait before they can start an order.

  • Single sign-on

On Flagship and Retained, a customer signs in once. That session is theirs: it carries across the site, the build-a-box, and a later reorder, set up for how you want accounts to work.

  • Abandoned checkout

If someone leaves mid-order, their basket or half-built box is kept. They come back to the same point, with your rules still applied — cutoffs, sizes, whatever this menu needs.

  • Customer recovery

A started order that isn’t paid gets a follow-up in your voice, not a generic shop email. On Storefront and Configurator that’s a nudge. On Flagship and Retained it’s a sequence we agree, then I tune it once real orders start.

How it goes

  1. 01

    Brief

What you sell, who it’s for, and what the page has to make happen.

  2. 02

    Design

Type, layout, and the path through the offer. You see it before it’s built.

  3. 03

    Build

Built for this business, then tested the way a customer would use it — on a phone, including the dead ends.

  4. 04

    Launch

Live on your domain, with a walkthrough of how you change it. Search is set up so the pages can be found.

The studio

Lewis Stratford designs and builds websites from the North East. Recent work is food — meal prep and delivery brands that need a site people can actually order from.

You work with me, not an account manager and not a theme shop. We go through how you actually sell before I design anything, and the site is shaped around that — the menu, the cutoff, the way an order has to land with you.

We can meet in person or on a video call and go through what you need. While it’s being built, I’m on call. Prices are a starting point — if the budget is different, the scope moves with it.
